NFC AFC Bayou Teche Swing For The Fence “Foxx”Foxx started off his field trial career by earning 23 derby points in 11 starts, and then got a Qual 1st and 2nd in only 3 starts shortly after turning 2 for his QA2 title. He began placing in All-Age competition as a young 2 year old with an Am 3rd in the same weekend he had his Qual win, quickly achieved his AFC title while still 2 years old, and then his FC while still a 3 year old. Foxx’s ascension continued as he become the 2019 National Open Winner at age 5, while also winning not one, but THREE double headers! Foxx has accumulated 115 AA points to date. Though Foxx’s oldest puppies are only 5 years old, and the majority have just recently started to compete, he has sired 2 with an FC title, 4 with an AFC title, 24 Master Hunters, 44 QAA and his offspring have accumulated 450+ derby points at the time of this posting. Foxx was in the top 10 of sires with offspring to make the National Derby List in 2019 at #9, was #4 in 2020, #3 in 2021 and was tied for the #1 producer of derby offspring in 2022. Foxx’s tremendous focus, drive, work ethic and cooperative attitude make him a dream train and run. His pedigree is very impressive, his offspring are showing his quality as a producer, and he is one of the best looking dogs you’ll see on the field trial circuit. Foxx certainly checks all of the boxes. He’s a truly rare animal that having achieved only one or two of his many accomplishments would have put him in elite company. Stonebrook’s Evasive Maneuver MH “Eve”Eve went 5/5 to earn her Senior Hunter title and 5/5 to earn her Master Hunter title without a fail in only 2 months of competing with a limited amount of training. Eve is the type of dog that you can show her what you want once or twice and she’s got it. Soon after earning her MH title, we ran her in her first qualifying where she made it to the 4th series needing a handle on the last bird. Since then, she has been a great hunting dog (pictured in the banner above) and still loves to train as often as we can. Eve’s first litter (FC AFC Mickey) recently began running derbies, and are off to a great start. Storm has finished 4/6 derbies with a 1st, 3rd, 4th and a RJ for 8 points, Rusty has finished 5/6 derbies (Canada) with a 1st, 3rd, 2 RJs and a JAM, and Riley has 2 wins and a 3rd in 4 starts for an impressive 3 points per start average - he was also only 3 birds away from being a finalist in the National Derby Championship this year, going out in the 9th series. A few others from the litter will start their competitive careers soon, with a majority of the puppies heading into their second hunting season this fall/winter. Eve is what I was hoping for when we bred her dam to FC AFC Esprit’s Power Play, and is first and foremost a wonderful companion. In the field, her top attribute is definitely her intelligence; add in her drive and willingness to please, and she’s a lot of fun to train. Eve is a strong marker and a very nice handling dog with great balance.
