Jessie is one of the most sweet-natured and affectionate dogs I've ever been around, and an excellent competitor when it's time to retrieve. She's good at fighting the factors to maintain a straight line, very birdy, a good problem solver, and a very good marker. Extremely calm and laid back in the home and around kids, and all business in the field/blind. Jessie is easy to handle and train because of her high level of sensibility/levelheadedness, intelligence, mental toughness, and high desire to please/tractability/team player attitude.She's also very steady when duck or dove hunting, and has never had issues with being vocal or moving around as the ducks were circling or landing. Jessie produced three great litters (NAFC FC Tubb, FC AFC Pow (x2), and is now content to spend her days determining which dog bed to lay down in and reminding us to pet her when we move closely enough to said dog bed. Jessie's sire and dam: Jessie's sire is FC AFC Tiger Mcbunn. Tiger was a very intelligent dog, nice marker, strong water dog, was a 3x National Finalist, earned 49.5 Open Points (8 Wins), 69.5 Amateur Points (8 Wins), had 5 Titled Siblings, produced 10 Titled Offspring, and was the product of a 2xNAFC X NAFC pairing of Lean Mac and Hattie Mcbunn. Jessie as a competitor: Though Jessie typically only gets to compete 2 to 4 weekends per year, she has obtained 2 Senior Hunter passes, 1 Master Hunter pass, and 1 Qual Jam in limited opportunities. We have had issues with getting into AKC Master tests, so we focused solely on getting her UKC Hunter Retriever Champion title for the Spring of 2015. She quickly earned 7 HRC Finished passes (105 points) and her HRCH title! |
