Almost 2 hours later the final puppy was born. It's about 4:30 am on Monday morning as I write this, and I think all of the adrenalin and caffeine have finally started to lose their effect. Though 48 hours without sleep can be tough, at least I didn't give birth 8 times.


We finished out the day with 5 black, female and 3 black, male lab puppies - and one latex glove out of a box of 50. Our vet was awesome, and very thoroughly examined Jessie and each puppy. She reported that they are all in good health, and are doing well.
